Cirque Performs under HES Lights in Jamaica
To thank their sales team for "jumping through hoops" over the past year, one computer company hired Niel Golberg's Cirque to jump through their own hoops in a special appreciation presentation in Jamaica.
Electro Tech Jamaica was hired by California-based company Ellen Michaels Presents Inc. to supply and install High End Systems lighting and controllers for the event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Jamaica. During the corporate gathering April 29-May 4, 850 computer employees were dazzled by the eclectic performance of Cirque.
Peter Shoucair, CEO and lighting director of Electro Tech Jamaica, was project manager and lighting director/operator, plus provided all technical staff to rig lights, stage and audio. Richard Dunn of Orlando also served as lighting director/operator/Wholehog II programmer.
Shoucair used 8 Studio Spot® 575s, 8 Intellabeam®, four Dataflash®, one F-100 fog machine, 100 Source Fours and other effects, along with a Wholehog® II console.
Says Shoucair, "The Studio Spots are awesome and helped to make this production a great success. I also used Intellabeams that were great for this event. I wish High End Systems would still put this light out in production because it never stops working and gives a great effect."
The show was held inside a 200-foot by 150-foot tent made by Universal Structures and flown into Jamaica for this event. Says Shoucair, "The lights, production and sound were fantastic. I also brought in a Wholehog II and used this to run all lights for the stage and the Controllers ran the dance floor lights and roof lights with my computer. The Hog, programmed by Richard Dunn, made a big impact on the production. The Electro Tech crew did a great job putting this together and High End Systems made it all possible with fantastic lighting and effects."
